BMS_u029

There is condition internal to the high voltage (HV) battery requiring the battery management system (BMS) to limit the maximum allowed brick voltage. The target max brick voltage for charge is limited to the voltage corresponding to 50% state of charge (SOC).

BMS_w023

The Battery Management System (BMS) has set this warning due to a hardware overcurrent (HWOC) event, which is preventing the contactors from closing. If this alert is present or is repeatedly setting, the BMS may be using it as a counter to record the number of overcurrent events that have occurred.

BMS_w026

The Battery Management System (BMS) has set this alert to indefinitely prevent the contactors from closing until a special service action is performed.

BMS_w163

The battery management system (BMS) has detected that contactors have undergone stress from a wide-open throttle (WOT) event.

How to use?

Is it safe?

When clearing the BMS_u029 alert and restoring full charging capabiility, we highy recommend fixing the underlying issue that triggered the fault. Sometimes it is required to clear the code to enable you to identify the defective module by charging very carefully whilst monitoring battery vitals. You do this aty your own risk as this can cause a thermal runaway event.
